Reconnecting with the Earth

Hello everyone,

It’s been way too long since I have posted. I apologize for hardly updating the blog. I am sure you know, if I did not mention, that I have a job and am going back to school. However, for the summer I am taking a break from school. I’m focusing on my job and getting enough money for getting a new car.

Anyway, I felt a reconnection with the Earth. It is not often that I get a chance to connect with the Earth because now we live in a townhouse and we don’t have room to plant vegetables like we used to. However, this year I got an Aloe Vera plant. It’s one of my favorite plants. I  got it in late March or early April and now I finally planted it today. It felt so good as I planted it in the clay pot and covered it in potting soil. I felt like I hadn’t in so long. Like I had connected to the Earth again. My nails and hands were dirty and I patted soil around the plant and was happy to do so. I can’t wait to see it grow. I also am going to be looking for other ways to connect to the Earth. It is a wonderful feeling to feel connected to Mother Earth. That is all for now. I will update soon!

A good blessing

Greetings everyone,

Well today I have good news to share. I went to my interview today and will be having a second one on Friday. Yesterday, I burned a green and white candle and lit sandalwood incense. I think that is part of my good luck. My neighbor Zack, who is a night manager at another Sheetz, says that a second interview is good. So I’m hoping and keeping my fingers crossed. I will probably do another spell on Thursday. Wish me luck! Blessings!

My Samhain

Greetings everyone,

I’m sorry I didn’t post yesterday. I was completely and utterly exhausted yesterday. I also had to take my father to an appointment today, so I totally forgot to update everyone while thinking of things I wanted to do yesterday. Anyway, yesterday I celebrated Samhain by doing a ritual. I took a bath first to purify myself. I then had to move things around on my altar a bit since my altar is on top of my bookcase. It was a short ritual, but I invited my ancestors to the circle and talked to those closest to me who have been gone. I also did a spell to break bad habits. Later on I did a tarot spread for the new year which is called The Wheel of the Year tarot spread. It took a while for me to sort through the cards. There were 27 to lay down. I still have to write my new year’s resolutions tonight, for I forgot to do that last night. Overall, I felt like my Samhain was a good celebration. During my ritual the candles kept flickering real hard and I think that it was a sign from my loved ones. I hope you all had a wonderful and Merry Samhain and Happy Halloween! Good night!

Samhain’s tomorrow!

Greetings everyone,

It’s hard to believe that October is almost gone. I have had such a busy month that I really haven’t had much time to prepare for Samhain. I did make a new altar arrangement. I’ll take a picture and post tomorrow. However, I will be doing a ritual and spell tomorrow. Also I will be divining and making my new year’s resolutions as I do for every year. I love Samhain because it’s a time of change and the veil is the thinnest. Tomorrow I will have a lot on my plate, but nonetheless I will be celebrating this wonderful Sabbat. What are your plans? I hope that everyone has a good night and I will update tomorrow.

Officially published!

Greetings everyone,

Recently I submitted an article for publication for the Fall edition over at Spiral Tree. I was really honored to find out that I was one of the ones to be selected to have my articles posted for the Fall edition. I’m really passionate about my writing. And the article that I wrote was about Samhain, my favorite Sabbat. It’s not extremely fancy, but I hope it is informative for you. I would like to thank the kind owners of the ezine, especially Scott/Ing for publishing it. Maybe I will have something for the Spring edition. To view it go to: https://spiraltree.weebly.com/7th-issue-3-samhain-a-most-important-sabbat.html. To go to the general site go to: https://spiraltree.weebly.com/. I will also post a link on the blog as well. Blessings everyone!

The Witches Ball

Greetings everyone,

Well I went to the Witches Ball artisans festival this morning. I only stayed about an hour because it was hot. It felt like August. I hope it starts to cool down. Anyway, I had fun. There were a lot of people at the fair and a lot of vendors. I did get a few things. I purchased a pair of skull ear rings, a key necklace with blue opal, an incense holder, and a wooden board that has a saying on it. You can view pictures that I took on instagram. The link is on the right at the top of the page. I was a little upset that they didn’t have any tools for sale. I saw a lot of jewelry and stones on sale, but nothing like athames or anything like that which I am looking for. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. The people were friendly. I do want to go back next year. So that’s all I have to say for now. I’ll update soon!

So excited for my first Witches Ball!

Greetings everyone,

Well tomorrow is my first Witches Ball. Today I dyed my hair teal for fun. I’ll have to take a better picture of my hair tomorrow when I’m in the sun so you can see the color. My hair is so dark that the color is hard to see in the dark. So 11:00 is when it starts and that is the artisan and crafts festival. Then later at 6:00 pm is the costume party. I am so looking forward to this because I just haven’t had any group experience or been out with a group. I’m more solitary and it’s hard for me to mingle. So I am hoping to make a lot of friends and find some really nice things, not get a lot, but some things. Maybe a few tools. I’m just excited. I’ll take a bunch of pictures and make sure to post them tomorrow so you can see. I’ll update tomorrow or the next day, depending on how I feel. Have a blessed night!
