Stocking up

Greetings everyone,

I haven’t been active lately. I apologize greatly. Mainly it’s due to my mood and health issues. Not wanting to talk lately. Well I thought I would let you know that I have got the chance to stock up on some supplies, not a lot, but some that will keep me happy. We have a local store called Earth Magic down here near us and I went there for the first time. I got some Sandalwood incense (so can’t wait to burn it), a new incense holder, two candle holders, six candlesticks (two white, two green, two black), and a small statue of Lord Anubis in jackal form. I was very happy to say the least. I’m going to be doing some cleaning tomorrow or Sunday and have a whole new altar set up. I’ll take a picture and post when I’m set up. Thanks for hanging with me. Talk soon.

Is death to be afraid of?

In the past couple of weeks I had been practicing with my tarot cards and reading about them and my favorite card, believe it or not, is death. Now if you pull out that card from the Egyptian Major Arcana from Llewellyn, guess who represents Death? Anubis does. πŸ™‚ That’s not why Death is my favorite card, but it is a major bonus. πŸ™‚

There are many people who fear death in this world and when or if they get a reading that shows the Death card, they assume that a physical death is coming their way. Death means many things in this world, not just leaving the physical world to the next plane. It can be scary. Let’s continue with the Death card. Death is change. It is the continuing of going on into a next phase. So sometimes people may be to comfortable where they are, but they need to be somewhere else in life and this scares them or makes them very uncomfortable.

A non-physical death could be a loss of a job, new relationship, new home, etc… If people don’t accept this ‘death’ and change with it then they are being stagnant. Staying where you are is bad. It’s like being a ghost and not moving on to the other plane of existence. Who wants to do that?

So think about it like this, there are going to be changes in our lives and you can choose to roll with them or stay put and stagnate till some one forces you to move. Death aka change will probably have to force you off your ass at one point in time. Don’t fear Death, it’s not an enemy in any form it takes. Those are just my thoughts.

Finally opening up

Greetings everyone,

Life for me in the month of June has not started out too well. This has to do mostly with my health issues. I’ve fallen into depression, but am slowly and surely getting myself out of it with returning to hobbies and other favorite things to do. Some of you may know that I live with my parents who are Catholics. My parents do not go to church every Sunday, but they will watch it on the computer. They do not think that going once a week will fix your sins. It’s been a little hard living around them, especially since my dad says prayers at suppertime and I have to say an inside prayer to the Lord and Lady. However, yesterday I was upset, over many a thing, and I finally asked if they accepted my religion. My dad doesn’t necessarily understand, which made me print some info for him. My mom does have a little issue with me worshiping a god and goddess, I think though that it is because I have chosen not to worship Jesus. However, it felt great to know I’m not an outcast and that they accept my religion. Have you had problems with your family?

Merry Imbolc!

Hello everyone,

Today is the Wiccan/Pagan Sabbat known as Imbolc. It is the first Sabbat of the new year. It also coincides with Groundhog day which is today of course. This day represents birth and awakening basically. The Earth has been asleep for a while, but now it’s starting to wake up. Soon the flowers and trees will be blooming. I’ve been sick lately and won’t be doing much today, but I will still be celebrating in my own way. So Merry Imbolc to all my Wiccan/Pagan and non Wiccan/Pagan friends.

My Samhain Goals

Hello friends,

Well I don’t know about you, but I make goals for myself at Samhain andΒ  when we celebrate the coming of the ‘official’ New Year. That’s just me. I’ve heard of others doing so, but not all witches do so. I feel that it is something positive for me to work for in the Wiccan New Year. Now these goals aren’t the run of the mill goals like ‘I want to lose weight.’ Though that is an important goal of mine. These have to deal with spirituality and my religion and new age in particular. So I thought I would go ahead and post them on my blog and keep referring back to them when I need a reminder. Here they are:

  1. Learn one new divination method. (I would like to get myself a crystal ball this year. Part of what drew me to The Craft was the mysterious crystal ball. πŸ™‚ )
  2. Learn hieroglyphics. (When I was in school they taught you some, but I would really like to learn about it now.)
  3. Deepen my connection with Lord Anubis and Lady Bast. (I’m not sure how to do this yet. However, Lord Anubis always gets my attention somehow. He’ll let me know.)
  4. Balance the Elements within myself. (Yeah…I am overwhelmingly an Air person. Part of it is because I am a Gemini. However, I need to find balance with all the Elements.)

So those are my goals for this year. I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many goals. I have so much going on in my life and I will probably have more goals when the ‘official’ New Year comes around. So my question is, do you make goals for the Witches New Year?
