First, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Presidents Day. I don’t often get to celebrate it. I think we forget the sacrifices that our presidents make and the huge responsibilities they have and have had.
Anyway, I haven’t purposely been ignoring the blog. Between school and my job, I just have been trying to get synced. I usually don’t get on my laptop during the weekend because I am so darn tired when I get home from evening shift.
So I got a new divination tool, the Lenormand Deck. It is very interesting. I’ve only just started learning. It has 36 cards. I haven’t yet done any spreads, but I am hoping to start work on learning with it soon. I told myself as a resolution that I would learn a new divination tool and this is going to be one of them.
I will hopefully be updating the blog every week with information on some more things that have caught my interest. So keep an eye out. That is all for now. I hope everyone has a good night and Blessings!
So yesterday I told you about my dream which involved Horus. I did some quick research today plus a tarot reading, though it really didn’t make any sense to me. So Horus is the god of protection, war, hunting, and the sky of course. I’m still confused. I pulled The Hermit today, but I still didn’t feel that it answered my question. So tonight I am going to ask Horus to come into my dreams again and to send me another message. At least one I can interpret. I’m just confused. Have a good night everyone.
I tell you I have some of the strangest dreams ever. Sometimes I ignore my dreams, seeing that they can be stupid or just something that I think about before I go to sleep. I’m sure you can understand. However, last night or early this morning (can’t remember) I had one of the damn strangest dreams involving eggs and Horus. I won’t tell you the dream because it was way weird, but I can tell you that I didn’t see Horus, I just said his name a couple of times. The egg was cooked by the Sun as proof that Horus existed. Now, I looked up in a dream dictionary online to verify, but eggs represent fertility and new starts usually. As for Horus, I don’t know if he was reaching out to speak to me or not. I am going to do a little more research tomorrow on him. I am reading Everyday Sun Magic and I believe Horus is a Sun god from what I have read. I’m not sure about my interpretation fully, but I am going to do a tarot reading tomorrow to clarify a bit. Anyway, I will talk more about this soon. Have a good night!
Sorry I didn’t post my Yule divination yesterday. I’m sick unfortunately…uhhh! However, today I did a quick Past, Present, and Future Tarot divination. I just want to let you all know that I am not a professional Tarot reader. I do this for myself and still am learning divination. This is my interpretation so give me a break if you don’t think it is right. Like I said it is ‘my’ interpretation. Here is what I got:
- Past: The Magician
- Present: The Star
- Future: Six of Pentacles (or Coins)
The representations that The Magician most were in common with me and the past, I felt, were: realizing your potential, believing in yourself, and being in charge of your own destiny. I think this card really represents my past because I am and have been working real hard to study and get certified within the next few months and get a job.
The representations that The Star most were in common with me and the present were: the future looks bright, being unique, and living your bliss. Again, I think this refers to me trying to change myself and separate from the life I have been living and get back to the world I want.
The representations that the Six of Pentacles most were in common with me and the future were: earning wage, sharing wealth, and giving of yourself to others. The future is always hard to predict. I did pull this card and pentacles is associated with Earth. Earth is associated with money. I hope to see money and wealth in my future.
Like I said, I am not a professional. I just am sharing my thoughts with you all. I hope your Yule was great!
P.S. I got help from TarotWikipedia. Go there for some great information!
Well I don’t know about you, but I make goals for myself at Samhain and when we celebrate the coming of the ‘official’ New Year. That’s just me. I’ve heard of others doing so, but not all witches do so. I feel that it is something positive for me to work for in the Wiccan New Year. Now these goals aren’t the run of the mill goals like ‘I want to lose weight.’ Though that is an important goal of mine. These have to deal with spirituality and my religion and new age in particular. So I thought I would go ahead and post them on my blog and keep referring back to them when I need a reminder. Here they are:
- Learn one new divination method. (I would like to get myself a crystal ball this year. Part of what drew me to The Craft was the mysterious crystal ball. 🙂 )
- Learn hieroglyphics. (When I was in school they taught you some, but I would really like to learn about it now.)
- Deepen my connection with Lord Anubis and Lady Bast. (I’m not sure how to do this yet. However, Lord Anubis always gets my attention somehow. He’ll let me know.)
- Balance the Elements within myself. (Yeah…I am overwhelmingly an Air person. Part of it is because I am a Gemini. However, I need to find balance with all the Elements.)
So those are my goals for this year. I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many goals. I have so much going on in my life and I will probably have more goals when the ‘official’ New Year comes around. So my question is, do you make goals for the Witches New Year?
