Officially published!

Greetings everyone,

Recently I submitted an article for publication for the Fall edition over at Spiral Tree. I was really honored to find out that I was one of the ones to be selected to have my articles posted for the Fall edition. I’m really passionate about my writing. And the article that I wrote was about Samhain, my favorite Sabbat. It’s not extremely fancy, but I hope it is informative for you. I would like to thank the kind owners of the ezine, especially Scott/Ing for publishing it. Maybe I will have something for the Spring edition. To view it go to: https://spiraltree.weebly.com/7th-issue-3-samhain-a-most-important-sabbat.html. To go to the general site go to: https://spiraltree.weebly.com/. I will also post a link on the blog as well. Blessings everyone!

The Witches Ball

Greetings everyone,

Well I went to the Witches Ball artisans festival this morning. I only stayed about an hour because it was hot. It felt like August. I hope it starts to cool down. Anyway, I had fun. There were a lot of people at the fair and a lot of vendors. I did get a few things. I purchased a pair of skull ear rings, a key necklace with blue opal, an incense holder, and a wooden board that has a saying on it. You can view pictures that I took on instagram. The link is on the right at the top of the page. I was a little upset that they didn’t have any tools for sale. I saw a lot of jewelry and stones on sale, but nothing like athames or anything like that which I am looking for. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. The people were friendly. I do want to go back next year. So that’s all I have to say for now. I’ll update soon!

So excited for my first Witches Ball!

Greetings everyone,

Well tomorrow is my first Witches Ball. Today I dyed my hair teal for fun. I’ll have to take a better picture of my hair tomorrow when I’m in the sun so you can see the color. My hair is so dark that the color is hard to see in the dark. So 11:00 is when it starts and that is the artisan and crafts festival. Then later at 6:00 pm is the costume party. I am so looking forward to this because I just haven’t had any group experience or been out with a group. I’m more solitary and it’s hard for me to mingle. So I am hoping to make a lot of friends and find some really nice things, not get a lot, but some things. Maybe a few tools. I’m just excited. I’ll take a bunch of pictures and make sure to post them tomorrow so you can see. I’ll update tomorrow or the next day, depending on how I feel. Have a blessed night!

Yay October!

Greetings everyone,

October is finally here! October is my favorite month of the year because of Samhain and it is when the temperature turns cooler and the leaves start to turn. I just absolutely love it. This year I am getting more interactive in my Wiccan/Pagan community and am going to the local Witches Ball on the 14th. Yay! There are going to be lots of vendors and a costume party. I am going to have a great day. I so look forward to it. I also can’t wait to dress up this year. It’s been a long time since I have dressed up. I’ve still got to get my costume before the 14th, but I think I’m going as Granny Tsunade from Naruto. That will be lots of fun. So I thought I would welcome October with you. Have a good night!

Stocking up

Greetings everyone,

I haven’t been active lately. I apologize greatly. Mainly it’s due to my mood and health issues. Not wanting to talk lately. Well I thought I would let you know that I have got the chance to stock up on some supplies, not a lot, but some that will keep me happy. We have a local store called Earth Magic down here near us and I went there for the first time. I got some Sandalwood incense (so can’t wait to burn it), a new incense holder, two candle holders, six candlesticks (two white, two green, two black), and a small statue of Lord Anubis in jackal form. I was very happy to say the least. I’m going to be doing some cleaning tomorrow or Sunday and have a whole new altar set up. I’ll take a picture and post when I’m set up. Thanks for hanging with me. Talk soon.

Is death to be afraid of?

In the past couple of weeks I had been practicing with my tarot cards and reading about them and my favorite card, believe it or not, is death. Now if you pull out that card from the Egyptian Major Arcana from Llewellyn, guess who represents Death? Anubis does. 🙂 That’s not why Death is my favorite card, but it is a major bonus. 🙂

There are many people who fear death in this world and when or if they get a reading that shows the Death card, they assume that a physical death is coming their way. Death means many things in this world, not just leaving the physical world to the next plane. It can be scary. Let’s continue with the Death card. Death is change. It is the continuing of going on into a next phase. So sometimes people may be to comfortable where they are, but they need to be somewhere else in life and this scares them or makes them very uncomfortable.

A non-physical death could be a loss of a job, new relationship, new home, etc… If people don’t accept this ‘death’ and change with it then they are being stagnant. Staying where you are is bad. It’s like being a ghost and not moving on to the other plane of existence. Who wants to do that?

So think about it like this, there are going to be changes in our lives and you can choose to roll with them or stay put and stagnate till some one forces you to move. Death aka change will probably have to force you off your ass at one point in time. Don’t fear Death, it’s not an enemy in any form it takes. Those are just my thoughts.
