Happy Mabon!

Hello everyone,

Well technically Fall began yesterday, but it can be celebrated today as well. So Happy Mabon to everyone out there! I’m glad that Mabon is here because it means we are getting closer to my favorite Sabbat (Samhain), and the temperature will start to drop and give us a break from the heat of the Summer. I don’t know about you all, but I am not a Summer girl. I know we need it though. So Mabon is a time of gratitude. I made a small list of things that I am grateful for that I thought I would share with you:

  1. My family, especially my parents who deal with me day in and out.
  2. My health. I am officially going to be able to drive on Monday and it’s because I will be seizure-free for six months. Praise the deities.
  3. The deities, especially Lord Anubis and Lady Bast.
  4. My friends, who always are there for me.
  5. My religion, for without my religion I would be even crazier than I am now. πŸ™‚

I hope you all have had a wonderful Mabon and have a wonderful start into Fall. Talk soon!

Merry Lammas!

Merry Lammas everyone! Lammas is a Wiccan/Pagan holiday aka Sabbat celebrating the turning of the wheel where the corn is reaped along with the wheat. It is opposite from Imbolc on the wheel. So now Lammas is here we still are not officially into Fall, but it’s not long. I often think of Osiris as a deity for this holiday. I think he is a really good deity to celebrate with when celebrating Lammas because of the fact that he is associated with death. Although Lammas is not necessarily a death-type Sabbat, it is drawing closer to Samhain. But those are my opinions. πŸ™‚ Merry Lammas to you all!

Merry Summer Solstice!

Merry Summer Solstice (aka Litha or Midsummer)! Well, I can’t believe the Wheel of the Year has spun again. It’s the longest day of the year and I personally am happy that the Wheel is starting to spin towards the darker days of the year. As you can probably tell, I’m not a big fan of the lighter half of the year. However, we need it. I hope everyone has a great Summer Solstice! Blessings!

Merry Beltane!

Merry Beltane everyone! Goodness I didn’t know that Beltane was coming up so fast! Hopefully, Summer Solstice won’t be like this. I hope this day will be good for everyone, both Wiccan and non-Wiccan. Blessings to you all. Unlike everyone, I’m having health issues, but I am still celebrating. I love all of you and I send you all prayers of good health and wellness. Blessings again!

Merry Imbolc!

Hello everyone,

Today is the Wiccan/Pagan Sabbat known as Imbolc. It is the first Sabbat of the new year. It also coincides with Groundhog day which is today of course. This day represents birth and awakening basically. The Earth has been asleep for a while, but now it’s starting to wake up. Soon the flowers and trees will be blooming. I’ve been sick lately and won’t be doing much today, but I will still be celebrating in my own way. So Merry Imbolc to all my Wiccan/Pagan and non Wiccan/Pagan friends.

Thoughts

Greetings everyone,

Well I thought I would update you on the whole ‘Horus’ situation. I didn’t really get anymore communication from him, even though I did try to reach out to him. It could have been a one time thing. In many Egyptian myths Horus is the brother of Anubis, so I don’t know if he was just reaching out temporarily or what. I will keep him in mind, but I am not going to let this rule my thoughts for right now.

A few celebrations are coming up. The Chinese New Year will be coming up on the 28th of this month. I don’t often celebrate it, but it’s nice to know what year it is and my sign. This year is the year of the Rooster. I am a Dog in Chinese Astrology. πŸ™‚ The Chinese do their astrology by year which is interesting.

Then our next celebration is Imbolc which is in 9 days if I’m not off. I look forward to it, but probably won’t be doing a lot for the holiday. I will be celebrating with a quiet meditation and thoughts of what the beginning of this year will bring.

So that is it for now. I will update soon. Have a good night!

Busy, busy, busy!

Greetings everyone,

I’m sorry I haven’t updated lately. Life has just kept me so busy. My family has been sick. My nephew had his adenoids removed and ear tubes put in on Tuesday. He is doing much better thank the Lord and Lady. I’m also studying to get my certification so I can go back to working. That’s one of my goals for this year is to get a job and to start on my own path. But it’s been busy and there just has not been a lot of time for updates. However, I am going to update some more. Imbolc is just around the corner and I have some thoughts for that. Plus I am reading a great book called Everyday Sun Magic by Dorothy Morrison. Can’t wait to share my thoughts on that. Well I will update soon everyone! Blessings!
